NOTICE OF PROPOSED ORDINANCE 2019-06 TO AMEND CITY CODE CHAPTER 154.062 AND THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP FOR THE CITY OF JORDAN.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Jordan, Scott County, Minnesota, will vote on the proposed Ordinance 2019-06 providing a zoning designation for the property located at 940 Broadway Street South.

Amending City Code Section 154.062 and the Zoning Map is necessary to provide a land use designation for the subject property which has been recently annexed into the City. The Comprehensive Plan guides land uses for all properties within the City’s future growth areas.

The vote will occur at the October 21, 2019 meeting at 6:30 p.m. or shortly thereafter, at the Jordan City Council Chambers, located at 116 East First Street in the City of Jordan, Minnesota

 NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON A REQUEST TO AMEND A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO ALLOW FOR EXPANSION OF FUNERAL SERVICES AT THE FUNERAL HOME LOCATED AT 104 FIRST STREET WEST IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS (C-1) DISTRICT

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Planning Commission of the City of Jordan, Scott County, Minnesota, will hold a public hearing to accept public input on a request to amend a conditional use permit for funeral home operations at 104 First Street West, to allow for an expansion of funeral services. The public hearing will be conducted on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at approximately 6:30 p.m. at the Jordan City Council Chambers, located at 116 East First Street in the City of Jordan, Minnesota. The purpose of the public hearing is to accept input on the request.

NOTICE OF PROPOSED ORDINANCE 2019-04 TO AMEND THE ZONING ORDINANCE SECTIONS 154.241 – 154.260 REGULATING PAINTED SIGNAGE AND COMMERCIAL MURALS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Jordan, Scott County, Minnesota, will vote on the proposed Ordinance 2019-04 to regulate painted signage and commercial murals.

Amending City Code Sections 154.241 – 154.260 is necessary to improve enforcement language regarding painted signage and to provide regulatory guidance for commercial murals – murals with a commercial message.

The vote will occur at the August 19, 2019 meeting at 6:30 p.m. or shortly thereafter, at the Jordan City Council Chambers, located at 116 East First Street in the City of Jordan, Minnesota

NOTICE OF PROPOSED ORDINANCE 2019-03 AMENDING SECTIONS 111.22 AND 111.38 CITY CODE CHAPTER 111 GOVERNING ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of Jordan, Scott County, Minnesota, will vote on the proposed ordinance 2019-03 to address liquor licensing requirements. The City Code does not specifically address a wine manufacturer’s license.

Amending City Code Section 111.22 subparagraph (I) and Section 111.38 is necessary to reflect how a wine manufacturer fits within Chapter 111 of the City Code.

The vote will occur at the April 15, 2019 meeting at 6:30 p.m. or shortly thereafter, at the Jordan City Council Chambers, located at 116 East First Street in the City of Jordan, Minnesota.

NOTICE OF PROPOSED ORDINANCE 2018-20 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING FEES

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of Jordan, Scott County, Minnesota, will vote on the proposed ordinance 2018-20 to adopt the proposed 2019 Fee Schedule.  The ordinance establishes fees for the calendar year 2019, and the level of such fees shall continue thereafter until changed by Council ordinance.

NOTICE OF PROPOSED ORDINANCE 2018-19 AUTHORIZING ANNEXATION OF PROPERTY OWNED BY THE CITY OF JORDAN INTO THE CORPORATE BOUNDARIES OF THE CITY OF JORDAN

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of Jordan, Scott County, Minnesota, will vote on the proposed ordinance 2018-19 authorizing annexation of property owned by the City of Jordan into the corporate boundaries of the City of Jordan. A location map showing the location of the proposed property to be annexed can be found here.  The property to be annexed abuts the City of Jordan and is currently located within the Township of St. Lawrence and totals 10 acres in area. The City of Jordan intends to use the property for park purposes.

NOTICE OF INTENT TO CONSIDER FRANCHISE ORDINANCE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Jordan shall consider a cable franchise ordinance for Jaguar Communications, Inc.  Jaguar Communications, Inc. currently provides telecommunication services within certain areas of the City of Jordan, and has the capabilities of providing cable services in the future.

The proposed Franchise Ordinance will be discussed and voted upon by the Jordan City Council at its September 17, 2018, regular meeting. The proposed Franchise Ordinance is available for review at the Jordan City Hall, 210 East First Street, Jordan, Minnesota 55352 during normal office hours 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
