Autumn Fare is a fall festival with food, rides, vendors, animals, demonstrations, and local farm produce. This is a great event for the whole family.  Come and join the FUN! You will be glad you did.

• Vendors will be open from 9am to 4 pm
• A Farmer’s Breakfast will be from 8am to 11am (Other food available until 4pm).
• Music by Mary Lou and the Rusty Strings (Wade & Mary Lou Fradenburgh)
• Welcome Visitors, Artists, Farmers, Local Food Producers and Natural Fiber Enthusiasts
• We will be featuring an “Aisle of Farms” in one of the barns.
• Educational seminars all day

CenterPoint Energy is installing new gas mains in Jordan. They have provided the City with the following information.

Where is CenterPoint Energy performing construction?

CenterPoint Energy’s contractor, Michels Corporation, is installing a new gas main in Jordan:

• Along Creek Lane, from Seville Rd to Hwy 282
• Along Hwy 282 (Second St) from Creek Lane to Mertens Street
• Along the east side of Mertens Street, from Hwy 282 to 4^th St
• Along the south side of 4th Street from Mertens Street to Highway 21
• Along Hwy 21 to Hwy 169, and continuing north of 173^rd St

CenterPoint has informed the City that they plan to close Creek Lane between El Dorado Drive and Seville Drive on Saturday, October 6^th to install gas main across Creek Lane. During this closure, traffic will be detoured around the closure utilizing El Dorado Drive and Seville Drive. CenterPoint’s closure is scheduled for this one day – October 6^th.

CenterPoint Energy’s restoration contractor, Q3 Contracting, will restore the areas affected by CenterPoint Energy’s construction.

What is the schedule for this work?

Michels Corporation is currently installing natural gas mains along 2nd Street W (Highway 282) near Sand Creek. Utility work is planned to continue until October 8^th in this area. Restoration efforts will be completed thereafter.

On October 8^th Michels plans to start construction along 4^th Street and Mertens Street. During this process, Michels plans to maintain access to driveways at the end of each work day. On the south side of 4^th Street and east side of Mertens Street, temporary access closures are anticipated to occur during the work day. CenterPoint Energy’s staff is to inform property owners prior to any temporary access closures.

By November 1, CenterPoint and its contractors plan to have the gas main installed and City streets restored. Their activity is anticipated to continue after November 1 on Highways 21 and 169 north of the City.

Business of the Week: St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Fall Festival

St. John’s Annual Fall Festival Celebration is on Sunday, September 16th.  Activities include Polka Mass at 10:00 am featuring the Wendinger Band, Chicken and Ham dinner, Funland, Bingo, handmade Quilt Auction, Old School Mementos sale, and much, much more!

Hello! I’m Lukas, and these are my two boys, Graham and Jaxson. The idea for this company started from a project with Graham. We always loved building stuff together, so one day we handmade some model trucks. I saw how much he loved them and I knew how much fun I had making them for him. This sparked an idea.
