Hello! I’m Lukas, and these are my two boys, Graham and Jaxson. The idea for this company started from a project with Graham. We always loved building stuff together, so one day we handmade some model trucks. I saw how much he loved them and I knew how much fun I had making them for him. This sparked an idea. I thought to myself, If I bought a CNC machine I could make model truck kits so that dads and their sons could bond while building something together. I told my wife I wanted to buy this machine. She was alright with it until I told her the cost. It took some convincing, but I ended up ordering it. Once I got the machine, I realized this was much bigger than model trucks. All of a sudden I started making things for family and friends, all the while I was taking interview after interview in search of a job after a recent layoff. My passion for making things with my son turned into a small business that helps families like yours have something they will treasure forever.

Ahlbrecht Masonry Inc. is a family owned business that began in 1987 by owner, Bruce Ahlbrecht.  Bruce created a company with a solid foundation based on three ideal principles: friendly service, competitive prices, and most of all, quality concrete work.  The vision was to construct a concrete business that would serve Jordan and the near-by surrounding towns.   Employing a top-notch crew made up of laborers and masons with strong work ethics in the masonry field was essential.

Business of the Week: Swager Nutrition

Richie Swager and his wife Kasey met 13 years ago while working at Home Depot.  Kasey is a lifelong resident of Jordan and Richie is from Bloomington.  They have two children: Caleb (11) and Kendall (4).  Richie got started on Herbalife about 3 years ago and began the business side about a year ago.  That was when the Swagers knew this is what they wanted to bring to Jordan.  Richie and Kasey are personal health and wellness coaches for Herbalife.  They offer many coaching and mentoring services along with now being able to make the shakes and teas for everyone.  They offer discounts on products to take home and will be offering challenges as well.  This is not a good diet, it’s a lifestyle change!
