NOTICE OF FILING FOR
MUNICIPAL ELECTION
Affidavits for Candidacy may be filed within the period commencing August 2 through August 16, 2022, for the following City of Jordan offices to be elected at the November 8, 2022 General Election:
Councilmembers:Â Three seats for four-year terms beginning January 1, 2023 and ending at the last Council meeting of December 2026.
Special Election Councilmember:Â One seat to complete the remainder of vacated Councilmember seat beginning January 1, 2023 ending at the last Council meeting of December 2024.
The candidate must pay a filing fee of $2.00 to the City Clerk at City Hall, 210 East First Street, Jordan, MN 55352, during regular business hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. weekdays. City Council candidates must be eligible to vote, will be at least 21 years old on assuming office, and will have been a resident of the City for 30 days before the election. Printed candidate packets can be picked up at City Hall or can be obtained by visiting the Minnesota Secretary of State.
