City of Jordan Announces the Opening of Grassmann Park on Saturday August 17th.

The City of Jordan is excited to announce the opening of Grassmann Park on Saturday, August 17th from 10 am to 12 pm.

The highly anticipated Challenge Course by Gametime is the first of its kind, offering a Pro and a Youth Challenge Course in the same location.

About the Event:

The ninja-themed grand opening event will have free tacos for the first 100 visitors, which will be supplied by local catering company All-in-One Delia’s Authentic Home Flavor. Special guest Leif Sundberg, otherwise known as the “Swedish Ninja” from the television show American Ninja Warrior, will also be in attendance. There will be opportunities for all age groups to use and compete on the course, and the fastest times in each age bracket will be awarded prizes.

More About the Park:

The unique design and equipment in the park provides opportunities for all ages to compete and experience the challenge simultaneously. The park is an obstacle course destination, designed with elements of the popular televised American Ninja Warrior races that are used to encourage children and families to be more active outdoors together. The course is timed and utilizes an app by Gametime which allows users to record and compare their personal times with others around the country.

Join the City of Jordan’s Fire Department for an annual fundraiser event this Saturday, August 10! Proceeds from the event will support the Fire Department.

What: Meals are $20 and include the following

  • Steak or Chicken (from Pekarna Meat Market)
  • Corn on the Cob (all you can eat!)
  • Baked Potato (all the fixings!)
  • Dinner Role
  • Cake

After you’ve eaten be sure to join the Silent Auction. 52 Club winners will also be announced.

Mar and Linda 6th Annual Run & Pig Roast

Save the date! Join Mar and Linda for their 6th annual Motorcycle/Car Run with a Pig Roast! It’s a family friendly event with activities later in the day!

This year, part of Mar and Linda’s proceeds are going to Sara Lobatos and her family!

With her infant daughter just 9 months old, Sara was diagnosed with breast cancer. Sarah is currently receiving aggressive chemotherapy and is missing some work while medical and household bills are adding up. It will be a long road ahead for her and her husband Christian. Just when you think things couldn’t get any worse, the mother of Sara’s 2 stepchildren died tragically in a snowmobile accident. Sarah and Christian now have a household of 6!

Mar and Linda aim to help families like Sara’s. Bring your friends and family and come support us for a good cause and a good time!

Registration for the run starts at 12 p.m. (noon) on the day of the run. The run leaves the Tap Room at 2:00 p.m. and will return around 6:00 p.m.

For those who do not participate in the run, a pig roast and plenty of fun starts at 5 p.m. in the Jordan Tap Room.
