The Park and Recreation Commission has the responsibility of advising the City Council on park maintenance, development plats, park planning and policies. The mission of the City of Jordan Park and Recreation Commission is to strive for quality and fiscally responsible recreation opportunities while recognizing the wants and needs of the community.

Members

There are five to seven members of the Park and Recreation Commission. Commissioners serve two-year terms, with no term limits, and the ex-officio member is appointed annually by the Mayor.
