Jordan Aquatics Center Survey

The Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission is asking for your input! PRAC is gathering input to learn more about an Aquatics Center for the City of Jordan.  This information will help assist the PRAC and the City Council in making an informed decision about aquatic amenities in Jordan. The survey link will be posted to the City of Jordan Website (www.jordanmn.gov) and to the Facebook Page.  Paper copies of the survey will also be sent out in the newsletter and available at City Hall.  Please return all surveys back to City Hall by February 28th, 2017.  Thank you for your participation and input!

The City of Jordan and its Economic Development Authority invites you to a Visioning Session to provide input on the 2040 Comprehensive Plan. This plan will guide the growth and (re)development of the City over the next 20+ years. 

Take part in small group discussions to help the City shape the growth and redevelopment of the City!

Join us on Tuesday, November 15th, 2016 from 6:45 p.m. to 8:00 pm at the Jordan Fire Hall, 501 Varner Street North, Jordan.

Tuesday, November 8th 2016 Election Information

Voting Location for Jordan Residents Within City Limits

The City of Jordan has two voting precincts. Both precincts are located at the Jordan Community Education and Recreation Center (CERC) 500 Sunset Drive.  Precinct 1 is the area south of TH 282 and Precinct 2 is the area north of TH 282.  Listed below are some new housing developments that indicate the precinct you are to vote in:

Precinct 1: Arborview, Bluffs at Cedar Ridge, Bridle Creek, Heritage Hills, River Ridge, Sawmill Woods, Stonebridge, Sunset Bluffs

Precinct 2: Timberline, Wexford Square, Valley Green Park

The General Election is November 8th from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.  Before you can vote, you must register.  You must update your registration if you have moved, changed your name, or have not voted in the last four years.  Please remember to bring proper identification with you to the polls if you have to register.  If you have questions, please contact City Hall at (952) 492-2535, Scott County Elections at (952) 496-8560, or the Secretary of State.  You can locate your precinct by logging into www.sos.state.mn.usonline precinct location system.

Registering Before Election Day

You may register to vote by completing a Voter Registration application and submitting it by mail or in person at your county courthouse.  To appear on the polling place roster, register at least 20 days before election day.

Public Transportation

Scott County residents have several public transportation options to choose from, and there are a number of Park & Rides throughout the County to help get you on your way.

SmartLink Transit

For residents in Scott and Carver Counties, SmartLink is your premier mobility management service, including Dial-A-Ride. Smart Link can get you anywhere in the seven county metro area (in some cases, you may need to transfer to another transportation provider).

Minnesota Valley Transit Authority

The Minnesota Valley Transit Authority (MVTA) is the public transportation agency for seven suburbs located approximately 15 miles south of Minneapolis and St. Paul: Apple Valley, Burnsville, Eagan, and Rosemount in Dakota County; and Savage, Shakopee, and Prior Lake in Scott County. MVTA also provides the Scott County-to-downtown Minneapolis express bus service, originally known as BlueXpress.

Land to Air Express

Land to Air provides shuttle service from the Marschall Road Transit Station (Shakopee) to the Minneapolis/Saint Paul International Airport. All you have to do is sit back and enjoy the ride — no parking issues, no fighting traffic, and no trouble with the weather!
