The Importance of Local History

Wednesday, May 9th, 2018,  7 PM at the Jordan History Center, 116 First Street East.  

Todd will come prepared to speak for 30-45 minutes on the general history and status of the Local History Network in Minnesota and talk about how the Jordan Area Historical Society fits into it. He will cover the basics of why we do this work, its value to the community, and touch on topics like facilities, collections management, and interpretation.

The Jordan Area Historical Society will also provide a short overview of its history and the exciting steps it is undertaking to open our museum to the public.

We welcome the public to attend this free presentation and enjoy a sneak preview of what the Jordan Area Historical Society (JAHS) is currently working on.

BTW: Todd has an impressive understanding of collections management, museum practices and historical interpretation. As a former county historical society director, he has a keen insight into the management and organizational development of history enterprises.
