July 1, 2021, Jordan, MN – The City of Jordan and Scott County’s partnership project for a new interchange at US 169 / TH 282 / CSAH 9 has been listed in the INVEST in America Act that was passed by the US House of Representatives. If signed into law, the bill slates an additional $2.3M in federal funding for the new interchange. The $40M project has already been selected to receive $7M in federal funding through the Met Council Regional Solicitation plus $2.5M in State of Minnesota funding to get off the ground. While other state and federal funding sources are also being sought through existing funding programs, the receipt of this first $11.8M in funding signals multi-lateral support for the project.

The success of this funding is due to the work of many over the past two decades. The City of Jordan thanks US Representative Angie Craig, current and past City Council members for their vision and dedication to the project, the Scott County Board and Staff, State Representative Tony Albright, and State Senator Eric Pratt. The City is hopeful the project will be similarly supported by Senators Tina Smith and Amy Klobuchar in the US Senate through passage of the bill in that chamber.
