Voting Location for Jordan Residents Within City Limits
The City of Jordan has three voting precincts. All precincts are located at the Jordan Community Education and Recreation Center (CERC) 500 Sunset Drive. Precinct 1 is the area south of TH 282 and west of TH 21. Precinct 2 is the area north of TH 282 and east of TH 21. Precinct 3 is SW Annexation Area Precinct boundaries were recently redrawn, below is the new precinct map. Listed below are some new housing developments that indicate the precinct you are to vote in:
Precinct 1: Arborview, Bridle Creek, River Ridge, Stonebridge, Beaumont Bluffs
Precinct 2/3: Timberline, Wexford Square, Valley Green Park, Sawmill Woods, Bluffs at Cedar Ridge, Heritage Hills
Before you can vote, you must register. You must update your registration if you have moved, changed your name, or have not voted in the last four years. Please remember to bring proper identification with you to the polls if you have to register. If you have questions, please contact City Hall at (952) 492-2535, Scott County Elections at (952) 496-8560, or the Secretary of State. You can locate your precinct by logging into www.sos.state.mn.us online precinct location system.

City of Jordan residents can vote absentee in person at the City of Jordan, located at 210 East 1st Street, Monday – Friday, 8:30 am- 4:30 pm, or at the Scott County Public Works facility located at 600 Country Trail E. Email Election questions to: scelections@co.scott.mn.us
Absentee voting for the Primary Election begins June 26, 2026.
Direct balloting for Primary Election Begins Friday, July 24 ( Voters place ballot directly into tabulator)
Extended hours for Primary Election :

- Saturday, October 31, 2026, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
- Sunday, November 1, 2026 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
City Council Candidate Filing Period
Three City Council Member seats: January 1, 2027- December 31, 2030.
How to file for office:
- Apply at Jordan City Hall- 210E 1st Street
- July 14th - July 28, 2026
- Hours- 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
Candidate Requirements
- Eligible Voter
- Resident of Jordan for at least 30 days
- $2.00 filing fee
- 21 years of age or older upon taking office

Registering Before Election Day
Political Campaign Signs
- Signs need to be located on private property with permission from the owner.
- Signs cannot be located on public property or within any road right-of-way. Please note the road right-of-way line does not end at the edge of the street or curb. In some cases, the right-of-way line of major roadways maybe 60 – 80 feet or more beyond the edge of the street curb.
- Please verify campaign signs are not located within the right-of-way or on other public property to avoid removal. If you need assistance determining public property boundaries, don’t hesitate to contact the Planning Department at 952-492-2535.
- Signs may be posted starting 46 days before the state primary until 10 days after the general election.
- Political campaign signs must be removed within 10 days of an election or referendum vote.
- On Election Day, campaign signs cannot be located within 100 feet of a polling place.
