Our community, founded in the early 1850’s, is close to the “big city” but offers the benefits of a small town. Our businesses are friendly and diverse. Our schools have up-to-date facilities and a dedicated staff. Our churches offer a range of services and fellowship. There are historic neighborhoods and brand new housing developments. Jordan is located in Scott County, one of the fastest-growing counties in the nation. The city is experiencing growth but retains its natural amenities and small town charm. However, its greatest asset is the people who live and work in Jordan, people who care about each other, their neighborhoods and their city. Among them are city staff members who are eager to be of service. Let us know how we can help!
Current Requests for Proposals (RFP)
REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS RFP - Civil Attorney and Legal Services October 2025
Submission Deadline: September 2, 2025–5 pm
The City of Jordan is soliciting proposals for civil attorney services from qualified law firms. Preference will be given to those submittals demonstrating experience in this area of municipal law. The successful applicant(s) shall possess sufficient resources to ensure that the demands for the City’s legal needs will be met on a timely basis. The relationship would be on a consulting or contractual basis, as opposed to a staff position. The City will award a 4-year contract, with two 4-year renewal options, for these services.
Included in this RFP are a more detailed description of the services to be provided, an outline of the proposal requirements, a description of the proposal review process, and a description of required contract ethics.
In order to ensure a fair review and selection process, firms submitting proposals are specifically requested not to make other contacts with City staff or City Council regarding these proposals. Failure to comply with this request may result in disqualification of the proposal. If there are questions regarding this process, they should be directed to: Tom Nikunen, City Administrator, 210 1st Street East, Jordan, MN 55352 (952) 492-2535 or tnikunen@jordanmn.gov. Written questions regarding this RFP may be sent via e-mail to tnikunen@jordanmn.gov prior to the submission deadline.
