NOTICE OF PROPOSED ORDINANCE 2019-03 AMENDING SECTIONS 111.22 AND 111.38 CITY CODE CHAPTER 111 GOVERNING ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of Jordan, Scott County, Minnesota, will vote on the proposed ordinance 2019-03 to address liquor licensing requirements. The City Code does not specifically address a wine manufacturer’s license.

Amending City Code Section 111.22 subparagraph (I) and Section 111.38 is necessary to reflect how a wine manufacturer fits within Chapter 111 of the City Code.

The vote will occur at the April 15, 2019 meeting at 6:30 p.m. or shortly thereafter, at the Jordan City Council Chambers, located at 116 East First Street in the City of Jordan, Minnesota.

Ordinance Amendment: Ordinance 2018-20

NOTICE OF PROPOSED ORDINANCE 2018-20 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING FEES

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of Jordan, Scott County, Minnesota, will vote on the proposed ordinance 2018-20 to adopt the proposed 2019 Fee Schedule.  The ordinance establishes fees for the calendar year 2019, and the level of such fees shall continue thereafter until changed by Council ordinance.

The vote will occur at the December 3, 2018 meeting at 6:30 p.m. or shortly thereafter, at the Jordan City Council Chambers, located at 116 East First Street in the City of Jordan, Minnesota.

NOTICE OF PROPOSED ORDINANCE 2018-19 AUTHORIZING ANNEXATION OF PROPERTY OWNED BY THE CITY OF JORDAN INTO THE CORPORATE BOUNDARIES OF THE CITY OF JORDAN

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of Jordan, Scott County, Minnesota, will vote on the proposed ordinance 2018-19 authorizing annexation of property owned by the City of Jordan into the corporate boundaries of the City of Jordan. A location map showing the location of the proposed property to be annexed can be found here.  The property to be annexed abuts the City of Jordan and is currently located within the Township of St. Lawrence and totals 10 acres in area. The City of Jordan intends to use the property for park purposes.

The vote will occur at the November 19, 2018 meeting at 6:30 p.m. or shortly thereafter, at the Jordan City Council Chambers, located at 116 East First Street in the City of Jordan, Minnesota.

Notice of Intent to Consider Franchise Ordinance

NOTICE OF INTENT TO CONSIDER FRANCHISE ORDINANCE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Jordan shall consider a cable franchise ordinance for Jaguar Communications, Inc.  Jaguar Communications, Inc. currently provides telecommunication services within certain areas of the City of Jordan, and has the capabilities of providing cable services in the future.

The proposed Franchise Ordinance will be discussed and voted upon by the Jordan City Council at its September 17, 2018, regular meeting. The proposed Franchise Ordinance is available for review at the Jordan City Hall, 210 East First Street, Jordan, Minnesota 55352 during normal office hours 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TO AMEND THE CITY OF JORDAN’S ZONING ORDINANCE SECTION 154.144 INTERIM USES IN THE C-2 DISTRICT

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Planning Commission of the City of Jordan, Scott County, Minnesota, will conduct a public hearing to accept public input on a proposed text amendment to include off-street parking and gravel parking lots as an allowed principal use through the issuance of an interim use permit in the C-2 Central Business District.

The public hearing will be conducted on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at approximately 6:30 p.m. or shortly thereafter at the Jordan City Council Chambers, located at 116 East First Street in the City of Jordan, Minnesota.

All interested persons may appear at the hearing and present their view orally or in writing.

The Jordan City Council is scheduled to vote on proposed ordinance 2018-14 at their regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, September 17, 2018 at approximately 6:30 p.m. or shortly thereafter at the Jordan City Council Chambers, located at 116 East First Street in the City of Jordan, Minnesota.

NOTICE OF PROPOSED ORDINANCE 2018-13 AMENDING ORDINANCE 2018-07 AUTHORIZING ANNEXATION OF PROPERTY OWNED BY INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT 717 INTO THE CORPORATE BOUNDARIES OF THE CITY OF JORDAN UPON THE OWNERS PETITION

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of Jordan, Scott County, Minnesota, will vote on the proposed ordinance 2018-13, which is intended to clarify the legal description of property to be annexed pursuant to Ordinance 2018-07 based on the following comments received from the Minnesota Department of Transportation subsequent to the adoption of Ordinance 2018-07: (1) the legal description provided in Ordinance 2018-07 does not accurately reflect the condition of the right-of-way running through the subject property (should be excepted out of the legal description), and (2) the acreage provided in Ordinance 2018-07 is not accurate for the area to be annexed.

Adoption Request: The Ordinance will revise the legal description and acreage of the annexed area.

NOTICE OF PROPOSED ORDINANCE AMENDMENT TO CITY CODE CHAPTER 154 TABLE A, RESIDENTIAL LOT REQUIREMENTS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of Jordan, Scott County, Minnesota, will vote on the proposed ordinance amendment to Chapter 154 Table A to decrease the minimum lot area required per dwelling unit for multiple family developments in the R-4 District from 2,000 square feet per unit to 1,320 square feet per unit, which will increase the maximum density in the R-4 District from 21.78 to 33 units per acre.  The vote will occur at the July 2, 2018 meeting at 6:30 p.m. or shortly thereafter, at the Jordan City Council Chambers, located at 116 East First Street in the City of Jordan, Minnesota.
