City playground equipment has been fenced off, and playgrounds are closed to the public until further notice.

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the City has had to close playground equipment to the public. This action is in line with Executive Order 20-20 by Governor Walz directing Minnesotans to Stay at Home until April 10, 2020, to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Playgrounds are a known transmission vector for COVID-19. The City asks that parents inform their children and provide supervision if necessary when going outside to play.

Playground equipment includes basketball courts and other such features.

Parks, trails, and open spaces are still open to the public, and residents are encouraged to enjoy them while practicing safe social distancing. For more information on social distancing and COVID-19, please refer to the latest guidance from the CDC.
