On the outside Suzette’s appears to be a roadside diner alongside Highway 169 but, once inside you’ll experience delicate flavors that rival those of the finest restaurants in Minneapolis.

What:  5-star Chef Banrith Yong, a native of Cambodia, studied culinary arts in the French portion of Switzerland before coming to Minnesota. He was previously a chef at a place called Swiss Alps in Highland Park, and at the Whitney Hotel prior to opening Suzettes in 1998.

Event of the Week: 16th Annual Jordan PTO Craft Fair

Our 16th Annual PTO Craft Fair helps fund school trips, events, and help teachers with needs in their classroom. Please come check out all the wonderful 90+ vendors we have to showcase. There is Joe Mama BBQ items that will also be giving back 5% of his sales to the PTO. We have a make and take craft booth ran by none other then our very own Art Teacher Kristin Kilgren. 100% of the proceeds from that booth go to PTO.

Time:  9am to 2pm – Saturday, October 9, 2021

Food Trucks that are confirmed: Maui Wowi & Fatbellies. We also have vendors with goodies to sell: Tommy’s Sweet Treats, Sweet Sassafras Cookies, MJ Bakesalot and also nuts by FOURager Family. Plenty to snack on while you shop!

This year we plan on doing our Jordan Business to Business Trick or Treating Event in person again! We are hoping for the residents to come out & support our local businesses. September’s here, and school has started, but that doesn’t mean the party is over. Join the annual festivities at Heimatfest this weekend!

When: Friday, September 10 and Saturday, September 11

What: Heimatfest has something for everyone in the family:

  • Friday night kicks off with a car cruise, food booths, and street dance in downtown Jordan.  

  • Saturday is a full day of events, a parade, food fare, music, and fun! Check out the schedule of events for more details.  From pork patties, to walking tacos, to a refreshing scoop of ice cream… Heimatfest has many food options to choose from.

Ribbon Cutting with the Mayor:

Event of the Week: Opening of the Lagoon Park Snack Shack/Bathrooms

The Lagoon Park Snack Shack and Bathrooms are now operating at full capacity. The new and improved Snack Shack has added hot dogs, nachos, and slushies to its tasty lineup. The Men’s, Women’s, and Family restrooms are also all open and available to the public. This park amenity will hopefully help your family to beat the summer heat we’ve had of late.
