  • Jordan Cinco de Mayo Celebration

Nickel Open Golf & Bean Bag Tournament

Who We Are:

On June 2, 2017, our Nick lost his battle with depression at the age of 21, in spite of psychiatric support, medication, the support of his family and partner and being enrolled in group therapy. Mental illness fuels insecurities and tells lies, and people like Nick, grow weary and give up the fight. Because of this, we are joining forces with The Dan-O Fund and NAMI MN to raise awareness of mental illness, erase the stigma associated with it and advocate for suicide prevention. Our mission is to bring more awareness and to do anything we can to break this stigma.

For more than half a century, Ames Construction has been delivering quality construction services to our customers. MnDOT – 169 Resurfacing Project

MnDOT will be resurfacing US 169 from Jordan to just north of Belle Plaine, and from just south of Belle Plaine to Highway 19. MnDOT’s project website is http://www.dot.state.mn.us/metro/projects/hwy169belleplaineandjordan/. MnDOT’s contractor plans to start as soon as April 30th, depending on weather conditions.  Between Belle Plaine and Jordan, work will begin in early May on the southbound lanes. All traffic will be confined to the northbound lanes. In late June or in July, MnDOT will flip traffic from the northbound to southbound side. All US 169 traffic will be confined to two lanes (single lane each direction) until August 18th.

The project involves resurfacing of the 169 pavement and some access changes to driveways and intersecting roadways. Most significantly, the project involves construction of a ‘reduced conflict intersection’ design at Delaware Ave and US 169. More information on this type of layout is available at http://www.dot.state.mn.us/roadwork/rci/.

Questions regarding the project can be directed to: Kirsten Klein at kirsten.klein@state.mn.us.
